June 2008 Newsletter

From The Director:
We are looking forward to many events this June. Our exciting Graduation ceremony is coming up. I have had the opportunity to watch the preschoolers rehearse and they look and sound fabulous! I can't wait for the big night! Preschool will also be taking an end of the year trip to the zoo!

Summer camp begins June 30th. We are so excited for our program this year. We have new and interesting themes and some new fieldtrips planned as well. We are looking at a great program and fun for all! Welcome back to all the campers we haven't seen since last summer!

Just a reminder… tuition is due by Friday evening. Please be sure to have it in to avoid late payment fees.

Miss Renee

Nursery 1:This month we will say goodbye to our friends Brianna, Jolie and Bella who are graduating to Nursery 2! They are ready to move over and explore their new room, but we will really miss them!

Please bring your child sneakers for the playground. Even crawlers need to protect their toes outside. We are spending more time outdoors in the nice weather and we like to go for walks but we love to play on blankets under the big tree on the tot yard.

We will be working with the theme June Bugs this month. We will create some fun bug art!

Happy First Birthday to Levi and Hugh!

Miss Jennifer and Miss Michelle

Nursery 2: Our theme this month is "What's Outside?" We will be exploring the grass, leaves, sand and bark on trees. We will incorporate lots of nature into sensory play and art projects.

Some of our friends will be moving across the hall this month and we will have new friends form Nursery 1 join our group. If your child has a birthday before March we will begin sleeping them on the cots and working on creating a smooth transition for them this September.

Miss Tammy, Miss Dawn and Miss Christine

Toddler 1: Wow! I can't believe it's June already! As the weather is getting nicer we are going out more and more! Please remember to leave an extra set of clothes in your child's cubby. Also remember if you would like your child to have sunscreen please send a bottle in labeled with your child's first and last name.

This month we welcome two new friends, Kendyl and Ben. This month our theme is the circus. We will learn about shapes, animals and acrobats. We will enjoy all the sights and sounds of the circus!

Miss Lori

Toddler 2 :Our theme for June is Circus. We will be looking at shapes, people and animals in the circus. The children have been enjoying show and tell and the many activities we do during circle time such as sing ABC's, count the numbers on the calendar and sing our color song. We will start talking and singing about the days of the week as well. Many students are recognizing their name with the crayon song we sing each day.

We will be going outside daily to play on the playground, ride bikes and explore the outdoors. Please be sure your child is wearing sneakers to participate and as it gets warmer remember to bring in sunscreen.

We welcome Mackenzie to our room from Toddler 1. She is making a great transition and enjoying our routine.

Happy Birthday this month to Lauren and Itzel!

Miss Becky, Miss Jenny, Miss Colleen & Miss Reine

Preschool 1: Spring is finally here! We see the flowers growing, the trees getting their leaves and the grass turning green. We will be discussing all the sights and sounds of spring this month. WE will talk about planting and growing gardens. "Icky bugs" are in the air, on the ground and in our gardens. We will learn about how they are helpful to our plants.

Our zoo trip is planned for Thursday, June 5th. We are looking forward to seeing all the animals and having a picnic lunch with our friends.

Happy Father's Day to all our great Dad's!

Miss Lisa and Miss Erin

Preschool 2 :Our big day is almost here! The class has been very excited preparing for our Graduation night on June 18th. There will be a sign up sheet outside our classroom door. Please remember space is limited so we are requesting 4 guests per child.

We've finished our "What I've Learned" books for Graduation night and also our Journals. This will be good memory keeping in the years to come. You will enjoy looking back and remembering all they accomplished at such a young age.

We are all anxious for the graduation but it is also a sad time because some of our friends will be leaving us for the summer. Please know how much we enjoyed your child's company this past year and we wish them much success in their futures. Thanks for giving us a chance to be part of their lives.

A trip to the zoo is planned for Thursday, June 5. We will be learning all about zoo friends in June and celebrating everybody's favorite author Dr. Seuss. Songs have been learned and excitement is high! We hope you can join us for our special night!

Miss Debbie and Miss Karen

Schoolagers: We can't believe May is already here! We have enjoyed working with your children. We've had a lot of fun with our theme weeks. The children also enjoyed our new "frog" reward system. They were all working had to earn frogs. We want to congratulate our April winner, Taylor. Great job to everyone! We know you worked hard. Now that the nicer weather is here please remember sneakers for the playground.

We are working on our summer camp program. Please sign up now before it's too late!

Thank for allowing us to share in your children's lives!
