Nursery 1:Happy Holidays! We want to officially welcome our newest friend, Alex, to our class! We are enjoying having him in our group. Our theme in Nursery 1 for December is "Winter Wonderland". We have many exciting, creative ideas for art made from the cutest hand and foot prints. We will be cuddling up, reading winter themed books, and singing many, many Holiday songs. We continue to work on reaching our milestones daily. Many of our activities assist us in reaching our developmental goals like rolling over, sitting independently, hand eye coordination and crawling.

Not to mention all the Holiday preparations we are making! We will be learning about hot/cold this month. We will be exploring the two temperatures with our sensory table. We have a bunch of "Winter Wonderland" stories to read and Holiday songs to sing. We will also be in the giving spirit and make gifts for our very special parents. Preschool 2 & UPK:It's hard to believe December is already here! This month we will discuss how other countries celebrate the Holidays. We will do projects and learn songs and games for Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and New Year's. We will also spend some time reinforcing numbers, colors and shapes. A sign up sheet will be posted soon outside our door; we would appreciate if you could take a moment to fill out your child's schedule for over the break. We would love to go out for some fresh air and exercise weather permitting. Please have your child prepared with snow pants, boots, hats, gloves and scarf. Wishing all our families the best Holiday ever!

Schoolagers:We will spend some time this December exploring Christmas Around the World. We will talk about Holiday traditions in Russia, Ireland, America, and Africa just to name a few! We will be having our "passports" stamped as we travel to each country and celebrate. We will also be learning how to "paper dance". Once they learn how we are sure you will see them boogie down, they may even share the skills with you. We will also be talking about giving this Holiday season, and we will be making gifts for the people we love. We are all getting excited about Winter Break too! Please sign up for the days your child will attend. We will have some fun days planned and hopefully some snowy days!!
