June 2008

From The Director:

I hope everyone is doing well, and is looking forward to a warm and beautiful summer. I know I am! With that said, please make sure that your child has all of the needed clothing for warm weather. Bathing suit, towel, bug spray and sunscreen. Water shoes are very helpful in this season and if you have the opportunity to purchase them for your child, please do so.

Also, I want to remind all parents that the only acceptable form of footwear is sneakers or water shoes. No sandals of any kind, no crocs, no flip-flops. These are all safety hazards and if your child does come to school with them on, and does not have a change for their feet- they will need to sit out on the outdoor play- and we really do not want to see anyone miss out on the fun!! This includes the nursery group. We must all follow the same rules- teachers too- to maintain continuity of rules. Have a lovely summer.

Any questions, please feel free to contact me @ 627-3724 between the hours of 9-5. If I am needed outside of those hours, please notify your child's teacher and they will call me at home with your number so that I may call you to discuss the issue at hand.

" Please note, we are now accepting registrations for before and after school care for the 2008-2009 school year. For more information see me!

Dates To Remember:
June 5th- End of the year field trip- Buffalo Zoo!
June 15t h - Father's Day- Don't forget!!

NURSERY

May has brought us many showers, cold ones even- yuck! Perhaps June will have all the flowers! We should be able to spend more time outside now! Make sure you don't forget to send in sunscreen! We hope all you mommies had an enjoyable Mothers Day. The babies had a blast making their handprint pots as did all of the teachers!

We wanted to welcome our new teacher, Miss Val! We are thrilled to have her with us and the babies are already in love with her!

Congratulations to Jamison who has learned to roll over and is now chattering up a storm. Huge congrats go out to Klarisa who will be celebrating her 1st birthday this month- 6/16!!

We have big plans for our daddies and look forward to seeing their smiling faces on their special day!

Miss Jenn, Miss Theresa, Miss Laurie and Miss Val

TODDLERS

We will be outside an awful lot, and you all know what that means to toddler- dirt!! Please make sure your child has a change of clothing for each and every day in which they attend! We will be bug hunting, learning to pump the swings and playing in the sun this month. Please remember, sneakers or water shoes are the only acceptable form of footwear for safety reasons.

Miss Michelle

PRESCHOOL

FUN IN THE SUN!! Please make sure your child has sunscreen so that we don't burn our little bodies!! We will be doing all kinds of outdoor activities, including jumping, climbing and running to strengthen our large motor skills! We will be seeking out different types of bugs and creepy crawlies with magnifying glasses and exploring the outdoor environment for all kinds of things that interest our 3 and 4 year old minds!! We are even going to 'worm paint'!! We also intend on creating some edible masterpieces and reading a lot of DR. Seuss who we really love!

Enjoy the summer months with your children, as we will, when we have the special opportunity to be with them.
