Our Derby center was our first location, opened in 1985. This center is licensed for 85 children, ages 6 weeks to 11 years old. Our Derby center includes two Nurseries, a Toddler Room, two Preschool Classrooms, and a School Age Room. The Derby location also offers special education with an integrated preschool room. This center is known for its outdoor space which boasts a huge fenced play yard, a separated Tot Lot and several additional acres of forest land!

Sara Alfred
My name is Sara, I have been the Director at our Derby location since 2018. I have obtained my Bachelor’s degree is Early Childhood Education and my Master’s in Childhood Special Education. Before becoming a Director, I was a Preschool Teacher for four years at Head Start in Buffalo.
I have three very active boys: 8 year old named Gunner and 5 year old twins, Jackson and Gabriel! I also have a 2 year old dog, named Sassy. My hobbies outside of work is working in my flower garden, reading mystery novels and hiking new trails with my boys.
I have a great passion in Early Childhood, and I just love what I do!
