From The Director:
This month is bound to be a very busy one for everyone! We have several special events this month that we hope your child will share with us! Tuesday, December 13th is our Christmas Pageant. Children from Nursery 2, Toddlers, and Preschool will participate. The pageant will start at 5:45pm and should take no more than a half hour. Please let your child's teacher know if you will attend.
Tuesday, December 20th is our center-wide holiday party. We will do some fun activities and sign-up sheets for treats will be posted outside your child's classroom door.
And, back, by popular demand, Friday, December 23rd will be Pajama Day!
Care-A-Lot will be closed December 26th and January 2nd in observance of Christmas and New Years Days. Please let me know your child's schedule for that week as soon as possible so that we can plan accordingly.
Thank you for choosing Care-A-Lot to take part in the growth and development of your little one. As we endeavor to make our program the best it can be, please know how much we value your input and appreciate the trust you place in us each and every day.
Miss Jessica

Nursery 1- Changing our environment each month with our theme helps your child learn and grow. Our theme for the month of December is 'Just Like Snowflakes'. We will have lots of fun this month as we celebrate the holidays and the snow (that we hope is coming!)
Your little one is growing so fast - this month is sure to be an adventure! We hope to spend time outside in the snow, even if it's just a short time and will bring the snow indoors to experiment with too! Please try to send hat, gloves and snowsuits regularly so that we can get your little one outdoors to play in the snow. Have a wonderful holiday season and new year!
Miss Stacy and Miss Melanie
Nursery 2- December is here already and it is our month to explore colors! Our theme for December is 'Colors Everywhere'! We will specialize in learning about yellow, blue, red and green.
This month we will get really creative using these colors in art projects such as ice cube painting, and water colors and finding different ways to use them in our classroom. We will try to express ourselves through sign language too! We will be trying to learn signs this month for milk and banana and we will try to learn 'Thank You' too!
Now that the holidays are around the corner we will be working on special projects to show our appreciation to our parents. We want to wish everyone Happy Holidays from the kids in Nursery 2 and a Happy 2nd birthday to Caelin!
Miss Jessica and Miss Shannon
TODDLERS - It's the most wonderful time of the year! We are so excited for December! This month will be full of Christmas fun of course, but we will be doing much more, too - We will also learn about Hanukkah and Kwanzaa!
We will be busy with lots of art projects like snowmen, Santa's, Christmas trees and even elves! We have so much fun expressing ourselves through our art and it's great for helping our fine motor skills, too! We will continue to work on letter, shape and color recognition and are so excited to participate in the Christmas Pageant on December 13th! We would like to wish a very Happy Birthday to Ava and hop you have a wonderful December!
Miss Megan and Miss Lauren
PRESCHOOL - The holidays are upon us and this month will be packed with fun activities that go along with them! We'll learn about Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa! The beginning of December is called Christmas by the Alphabet. We'll do lots of activities that are holiday-themed and help us with our letters - from angels to jingle bells to wreaths! We will write letters to Santa and have a gift wrapping center!
Next, we will make Joyful Noises by singing familiar holiday songs, playing musical instruments and practicing for our Christmas Pageant on December 13th!
We will end the month by learning about Hanukkah and Kwanzaa. We will learn about the menorah, play with our dreidels and make some kwanzaa hats as we have a fun-filled holiday season!
Thank you to everyone who brought in something to share for our Family Food Festival! It was not only fun, but delicious too - and the kids loved being able to share their special recipes!
Miss Nikki
